McKenzie Taylor,
Dental Assistant

Growing up in Elizabethtown, NC, I graduated from high school with aspirations to be a dental assistant….a dream I had since middle school. Through my own experiences with braces I learned to love the process of transforming smiles. Upon gradation of high school, I attended CFCC to pursue a career in dental assisting. After becoming a certified dental assistant, I went to work with Dr. Curley and have been assisting him ever since. During my 9 years with Dr. Curley, I finished my bachelor’s degree at UNCW and have served on the CFCC Dental Assisting Advisory Committee since 2011. Building relationships with my patients allows me to make sure they have a positive experience at the dental office and has proven to be the most rewarding part of my job. I take pride in making my patients feel comfortable during treatment so that they can feel confident in their smiles.

She is eager to answer any questions you might have about appointments, scheduling, billing, or general information about the office. Recently joining Dr. Curley’s team, every day K.C looks forward to helping patients to achieve an amazing smile and to gain confidence in themselves. K.C. enjoys volunteering with the Help Center at Carolina Beach, is a mentor, a wife, and the mother of a beautiful daughter who is now grown and living in St. Johns, SC. During her off time K.C. loves to travel with her husband and of course, spending time at the beach.

Jenny Stone,
Dental Assistant

Jenny is one of the first faces that new patients meet at our practice. She prepares the patient to be seen by the hygienist and doctor. There are many things that need to be done behind the scenes to coordinate care for patients and Jenny is one of the gears that keeps the practice running.

She was raised in a tiny town call Wagram and went to college at Sandhills Community College before
deciding to follow the path to being a dental assistant. She chose the dental field because she wanted a personal relationship with the people she would be helping. She loves knowing she is a vital part of someone’s treatment to a healthy mouth and teeth. Jenny said “being able to help a patient feel calm and safe about their treatment is a great reward for hard work.” She loves being able to meet and get to know our patients through small talk. When Jenny is not in the office working, she loves being with
family. I enjoy the beach and mountains alike, as long as I have a nice porch to look out from. I love a good book. My main outlet is abstract painting.
