Growing up in Elizabethtown, NC, I graduated from high school with aspirations to be a dental assistant….a dream I had since middle school. Through my own experiences with braces I learned to love the process of transforming smiles. Upon gradation of high school, I attended CFCC to pursue a career in dental assisting. After becoming a certified dental assistant, I went to work with Dr. Curley and have been assisting him ever since. During my 7 ½ years, with Dr. Curley, I finished my bachelor’s degree at UNCW and have served on the CFCC Dental Assisting Advisory Committee since 2011. Building relationships with my patients allows me to make sure they have a positive experience at the dental office and has proven to be the most rewarding part of my job. I take pride in making my patients feel comfortable during treatment so that they can feel confident in their smiles.

They say it takes a village to raise a child. Well, dentistry is similar. It takes a team. I love being a part of a team that has a positive implant on people’s lives. It’s rewarding to help patients navigate through their dental treatment, forging bonds and seeing them smile. In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband and our dogs. We’re also foodies. New to Wilmington, we’ve been enjoying experiencing it one restaurant at a time.
