Cayla
Practice Manager & Hygienist
Cayla started in dentistry as an intern in high school. Realizing her passion in helping others through dentistry, she attended CFCC for dental assisting. She furthered her education at CFCC and graduated from the dental hygiene program in 2009. She joined Dr. Curley in 2011 and enjoys working with a team that values providing the highest level of patient care. Cayla quickly makes patients feel at ease by building confidence and trust with each patient. Her understanding nature makes patients feel comfortable during their treatment. She is devoted to caring for each patient based on their individual needs. When Cayla isn’t providing care to patients as a hygienist, she manages the day-to-day operations of the practice. With over 10 years of service with Dr. Curley, Cayla’s knowledge and support is outstanding. She consistently demonstrates a servant leader approach to coordinating all the necessary functions amongst our team to ensure we provide outstanding patient service. She and her husband Wes have two daughters, Eliza and Della. She enjoys spending her spare time boating, scuba diving, and traveling.
Carly
Dental Hygienist
Carly is originally from Northeastern Pennsylvania where she obtained a bachelor’s of science in marketing at Bloomsburg University. After several years in marketing, Carly realized her need to help others and work in the medical field. In 2012, she graduated from Cape Fear Community college with a degree in dental hygiene. Carly strives to make each patient, even those with the most extreme dental anxiety, feel comfortable and relaxed in the dental chair. Through personalized dental education and thorough cleans, Carly helps each patient obtain optimal dental health and a confident smile. When not working, Carly enjoys cooking, yoga, and spending time at the beach with her husband and three children.
Meghan
Dental Assistant
Meghan is a Brunswick County native who has always known Leland as home. She attended Miller-Motte College of Wilmington where she obtained an Associates Degree in Applied Science and became a DANB certified dental assistant. In 2016 she began her career and along the way has loved helping others understand the complexity of teeth and feel confident with their smiles. In her free time, Meghan enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, going to the beach and traveling to the mountains of NC as well.
Sheena
Dental Hygienist
Sheena moved to Southeast North Carolina from Vermont in 2006. She always loved going to the dentist as a child so she decided to make it her career. Sheena earned her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from Cape Fear Community College in 2010 and her bachelor’s in Philosophy & Religion from UNCW in 2024. Sheena joined Curley Implant and General Dentistry in 2019. She loves getting to know our patients and catch up with them at each of their visits. She enjoys finding ways to incorporate good oral hygiene techniques into each patients individual routines. When not at the dental office, you’ll find Sheena spending time with her two dogs, fixing up her old downtown Wilmington home or throwing and axe at Axes & Allies.
Jenna
Dental Assistant
Jenna, a North Carolina native, currently resides in Rose Hill. She began her dental career with Dr. Curley in 2022 after graduating from a dental assisting program. Working in the dental field has been a dream of Jenna’s since she was young. She was inspired by the hygienists and assistants in her childhood office – they always made her feel confident and at ease. Jenna strives to form a bond with each patient by being gentle, compassionate, and attentive. When not working, she enjoys going to the beach, boating on the river, and spending time with her husband and their beautiful dachshund, Dolly.
Amanda
Dental Hygienist
Amanda, originally from Goldsboro, NC, has been a resident of Wilmington since 1998. Amanda graduated from University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2002. Then in 2012, she graduated from Cape Fear Community College with an Associates in Dental Hygiene. When it comes to the dental field she loves working with our patients and helping with their smiles. On the weekends, Amanda can be found at the beach or spending time with her family and two children.
Janessa
Insurance Coordinator & Billing
Janessa, who originally grew up in Youngsville, NC, moved to Greenville, NC, then Emerald Isle, before landing in Wilmington and calling it home. Prior to joining Curley Implants and General Dentistry in 2013, Janessa was already working in the medical field. Janessa helps our patients to maximize their benefits by verifying insurance policies, assisting with claim follow ups, and appeals. She enjoys helping patients get the dental care they need and assisting with insurance issues. When not in the office, she can be found hanging out with her wife and daughter, watching movies, enjoying nature walks and museums.
Tammy
Dental Hygienist
Tammy grew up in a small town in Northern New York. Her first degree was from Cazenovia College in Interior and Architectural Design and worked as a custom kitchen designer for years. Being a single parent, she knew she needed a job with more security which is how she ended up in the dental field. In 2003 she got her certification to be a Dental Assistant and in 2006 became a certified Dental Hygienist through Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY. Tammy’s customer services skills transitioned seamlessly, as you can see the love she has in educating and connecting with the patients. With over 20 years of experience, her knowledge and advocation for healthy mouths and the connection to overall health runs deep. In her free time, Tammy can be found with her grandchildren, spending time at the beach, or enjoying time with her Labrador Retriever, Grable Magoo.
Haley
Dental Hygienist
Haley was born & raised in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She received her Associate’s Degree of Science in Dental Hygiene at Horry Georgetown Technical College. Haley knew she wanted to pursue a career in the medical field and found passion in educating others on oral health. She loves putting patients at ease in the dental chair while helping them to feel confident in their smiles. When Haley isn’t chairside with patients, she enjoys anything outdoors from trips to the beach or walks with her dog.
Tracee
Treatment Coordinator
Tracee and her family are proud natives of Wilmington, NC, and have strong roots in our communities. While raising her family, she attended both Cape Fear Community College and UNCW, studying psychology and Healthcare Administration. Her early professional career was in Healthcare Management administration, including Homecare and radiology, and later bridging into Dental administration. Tracee has a passion for people, and it is important to her to be relatable and understanding while working toward the best outcome in meeting the patient’s dental needs. She spends most of her spare time with family and friends, enjoying live music, our local beaches, and all the sun and fun our beautiful area has to offer.

Alexis
Patient Relations Coordinator
Alexis helps patients achieve a smooth experience at check-in & check-out at our practice. She can be found scheduling appointments, helping to answer patient questions, researching a patient’s dental insurance plan, and submitting insurance claims daily. Alexis was born and raised in Staten Island, NY. In 2021, she decided to move to North Carolina. Alexis grew an interest in the dental field when she started her dental assistant program in high school. She later got a college degree in hopes of attending dental school one day. Alexis loves being able to help others achieve the confidence they deserve & also the best health! In her free time, she likes to work out & hang with family and friends.
Krisi
Dental Assistant
Kristina, known as Krisi, brings nearly two decades of dental expertise to our practice. As a skilled dental assistant, she works closely with our dentists, providing exceptional chairside support to help each patient achieve optimal oral health. Krisi is passionate about the positive impact dentistry can have, recalling a transformative charity case that solidified her love for creating confident smiles. Having experienced the benefits of orthodontics firsthand with five years of traditional braces, she’s uniquely equipped to empathize with patients and alleviate their dental anxieties. A daily goal is to provide comfort, knowledge, and confidence, ensuring every patient feels as relaxed as possible during treatment.
Originally from Florida, Krisi enjoys relaxing at home with her husband and their Boston Terrier, Anchor, a playful companion obsessed with all things ball-related. With three nephews and her mother nearby, she cherishes spending quality time with family, often creating lasting memories by the pool.
Harley
Dental Assistant
Harley is a dental assistant in the practice and helps keep things running smoothly for our awesome hygienists and patients. Harley was born in Rockingham, NC. At the age of 3, she moved to Southport, NC and attended Brunswick Community College & obtained her Associate of Arts. She later decided that she wanted to further my education to be to help others in a medical setting. Harley enrolled back into BCC for dental assisting and has loved every second of it. She enjoys making a contribution to helping others to feel more confident in themselves and get the help & services that they need. Harley spends her free time with her fiance and 1 year old son.
